April 21-25, 2021
As students, we are always learning, filling our wells and receiving deeper insights through continued practice and study. As teachers, continued study allows us to expand our repertoire and more fully develop our voices and yogic lifestyles. As practitioners, we seek a sangha, or community, with whom we can share our journey.
Join us for a yoga immersion adventure retreat that will connect your mind, body, and soul in the spiritual surrounding of Sedona’s astounding beauty and natural diversity. Our retreat will revolve around the twice daily yoga classes. These intelligent, yet challenging, yoga asana sequences will be woven with yin and restorative poses. To compliment this dynamic and regenerative movement, we will also spend time in pranayama, reflection, intention setting, and meditation. Our spiritual journey will explore beyond our bodies into our relationship with the divine. This very special 5-day yoga immersion, in the sacred and mystical lands of Sedona, Arizona, will renew, detoxify, inspire, and restore your vital energy.
“God created the Grand Canyon, but he lives in Sedona,” describes the profound beauty of the healing lands. Ancient Native Americans regard this land of red rocks as a gift from Mother Earth. They sensed the spiritual energy and considered this land sacred.
Sedona is located in the northern Verde Valley region of Arizona. Sedona’s main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. It is known for its multitude of vortex hikes, archaeological ruins, relaxation, adventure, and spiritual renewal – plus, the residents are very friendly and kind.
Getting to Sedona
The best airports to fly into are Phoenix, AZ (1.5hrs) or Flagstaff, AZ (45min). From there, you have a choice to rent a car or take a shuttle service to Sedona. Frequently, flights arrive at the similar times and retreat attendees ride in together. First class will be on Wednesday evening at 5pm. Last class will be on Sunday morning and will end by 10am. Please do your best to arrange travel that allows you to attend the first and last class of the retreat - they are sacred times together as a group for the opening and closing of the retreat.
